INSEF Project submissions for 2026-27 submissions are open.

Submission Deadline: 30th September 2026
Regional Fair dates will be announced and updated on this website once finalized. Please do not contact us regarding the dates.
- Subject categories include: Energy, Engineering, Environment, Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology, Behavioural Science, Computer Science & Engineering and Technology.
- A team of maximum 2 participants can apply
- Students from Grade 5 to 12 can participate in INSEF
- Students who are from Grade 5 to 8 are considered as Junior category and Grade 9 to 12 are considered as Senior category
- A project cannot have a mix of Junior and Senior category students. Any such entry received, will be disqualified.
- The project can be either practical Engineering based or a Research based project.
- There is no specific theme for INSEF at any time.
- All the projects submitted will be reviewed and shortlisted for the appropriate INSEF Regional Fair.
- You can submit your project only to one Region. Making attempt to submit from multiple region would lead to disqualification from INSEF
- You can only participate in a single project, for e.g. after selection result is announced and if your name appears in multiple projects then it is your responsibility to inform the organizers about multi-selection. You should inform and accept only one project for participation. Not doing so will lead to disqualification from INSEF
- No name changes for participants or guides are allowed once you submit your project.
- If we are unable to hold the offline physical fair at any region, then it would be clubbed with the Online entries.
During submission we ask for a PDF file containing all the project details and a video URL of your project demonstration.
